How can we help?
Answers to common questions. Still stuck? Email support@thepetparent.app.
How do I log something?
On Today, tap Potty, Meal, Walk, Nap, Train, or Note. The time and your name are filled in automatically. Tap Undo if it was a mistake, or Edit details to add a note or photo. If it matches a routine item planned around that time, the routine ticks itself off.
How do I invite my family, walker, or sitter?
Open Family, tap Invite someone, and share the code. The other person installs the app, signs in with their own account, chooses “I have a family invite code”, and enters it. Codes work for 7 days.
Why can’t I edit someone else’s moment?
In a shared family space, each person can edit or delete only the moments they logged, so nobody changes someone else’s record by accident. Ask them to fix it from their phone.
How do I leave a family space?
Open Family and tap the leave link at the bottom, then confirm. Your own journal comes back. The owner can also remove members from the Family screen.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Log as usual without a connection, and your changes sync when you’re back online.
How do I sign out?
Open Settings and tap Sign out in the Account section. The journal is removed from that phone and stays safe in your account.
How do I get a report for my vet?
Open Health and tap Download report, or use Export PDF in Settings. The report includes your puppy’s profile, health records, expenses, and recent care.
How do I back up or move my journal?
Your journal is backed up to your account and syncs automatically. You can also export a full backup from Settings and restore it later. Restoring replaces the current journal after you confirm.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm with your password while online. This deletes your account, synced journal, and photos. Deleting the app alone does not.
